Can’t Eat While at Work? 
If you are a waitress, or have a job where you do not get a break to eat try including all your macros into a shake. When I say macros, I mean macronutrients: protein, carbs, and fats. This is not because I measure my macros, but because in order to stay energized and focused, your body needs a steady source to pull from. 
If you have been looking at my food diary on myfittnesspal, you may have noticed that i have been having alot of protein shakes that are not after my workout. That is because I am a waitress at the beach, and that means it is the busy season for not only the island I work on but also my feet. 
Since I get hungry every 2-3 hours, an 8 hour shift has to have some good food involved that will keep me upbeat and my head clear. 
Try a protein shake that is half whey and half casein, to keep you fuller for a longer period of time. To get a serving of healthy fats at 1TBSP of almond butter or the nut butter of your choice. Do not forget to add a complex carb. You are on your feet so much, your body needs the energy. Add in 1/4 cup oats in to the blender. 
Some other options to add to your shakes:
almond milk ( for a small healthy fat serving) 
cottage cheese
plain greek yogurt
fruit (apples, bananas, berries) 
spinach
flaxseed (you can’t taste it but it has a ton of fiber) 
other forms of protein powder: pea, brown rice, egg white, soy, oat, hemp, spirulina…ect. 
Your job cannot hinder you from drinking water, so why not replace that water for a little while with your shake. Keep it in a container to sip on when you have a couple seconds. Do not worry about how long it takes you to drink it. It has taken me 1 hour to sip down a shake while waiting tables, but I do not care because I am usually in need of it. 
Also, try a meal replacement mix that will be easy for you to shake and go. I recommend The Raw Meal. Protein mixes or smoothie mixes with protein such as pea protein have a bunch of added fiber to keep you feeling satisfied longer. 
I hope this helps! Just remember, if you need to keep it cold, get your lunch box accessory and bring it into work. Your boss will not be making fun of it when he/she ends up so hungry they make a mistake and you are clear headed and feeling good.

That’s why I don’t teach dieting, I teach only awareness. Eat with full awareness, eat meditatively, and then you will never eat too much, and you will never eat too little. Too much is as bad as too little; these are extremes. Nature wants you to be balanced, to be in a sort of equilibrium, to be in the middle, neither less nor more. Don’t go to the extreme. To go to the extreme is to be neurotic.
